Prof Eva Dias Costa

She holds a PhD in Law from the Univ. Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Univ. Catholic University of Portugal, and a postgraduate degree from the Univ. Coimbra. She has completed several specialization courses, including the PPCR - Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health). She completed postdoctoral studies in Bioethics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Univ. of Porto and is a member of the International Chair in Bioethics. She is an Associate Professor at the Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique and an Integrated Researcher at the Instituto Jurídico Portucalense, where she coordinates the Heritage Research Group and leads the Health4All in the 21st Century project. She works as an invited external expert for the Directorate-General for Justice of the European Union. In 2023, he joined Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão as Of-Counsel, developing the practice area of ​​biomedical law. Speaker at national and international conferences and events. His work focuses on bioethics and health law, analyzing regulatory and ethical challenges in sustainable health care.

Prof Lilia de Souza Nogueira
She holds a degree in Nursing (2002), a specialization in Intensive Care (2003) and Cardiology (2006), a Master's degree in Adult Health Nursing (2008) and a PhD in Health Sciences (2012) from the Postgraduate Program in Adult Health Nursing (PROESA) and a Habilitation degree (2019) from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo (EEUSP). She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at EEUSP and coordinator of PROESA (CAPES grade 7). Leader of the Trauma Study Group - Assistance and Severity Indicators registered with CNPq, President of the Nursing Committee of the Pan American Trauma Society and CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship holder.
Prof Teddie Potter | USA

She is deeply committed to climate change and planetary health education. She is the inaugural director of the Center for Planetary Health and Environmental Justice at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and a member of the University of Minnesota’s Institute for the Environment. She is a board member of the Nurses Alliance for Healthy Environments and the Planetary Health Report Card. She is a member of the American Academy of Nursing’s Expert Panel on Environment and Public Health and the Planetary Health Alliance Steering Committee. She serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Collaborative Action to Decarbonize the U.S. Healthcare Sector; the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Division of Health and Medicine; and NASEM’s Climate Crossroads committee. Her most recent work is with the International Council of Nurses to advance Nursing for Planetary Health.

Prof Vanessa de Brito Poveda 

She holds a degree in Nursing (2001), a master's degree (2004) and a doctorate (2008) in Fundamental Nursing from the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo, a post-doctorate (2010) and a post-doctorate (2019) from the University of São Paulo. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at the University of São Paulo School of Nursing (EEUSP). She was Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Nursing in Adult Health (PROESA) at EEUSP (CAPES grade 7), from 2019 to 2023. She is currently President of the EEUSP Postgraduate Committee. Leader of the research group registered with CNPq "Technologies and interventions in adult health, with a focus on the surgical patient". Member of the Publication and Dissemination Committee (scientific editor of the SOBECC Journal) of the Brazilian Association of Surgical Center, Anesthetic Recovery and Material and Sterilization Center Nurses (SOBECC) - Management 2023-2025.

Prof Juliana Rizzo Gnatta Damato

Professor of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at the USP School of Nursing. Post-Doctorate from the USP School of Nursing. Prof Dra. Marina de Góes Salvetti

Master's degree in Nursing in Adult Health from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo, with specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Institute of Psychiatry of FMUSP, PhD in Sciences from the Postgraduate Program in Nursing in Adult Health at EEUSP. Associate Professor of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at EEUSP, President of the Undergraduate Committee of EEUSP, professor of the Postgraduate Program in Nursing in Adult Health (PROESA) and of the Interunit Professional Master's Program in Interdisciplinary Training in Health. Leader of the Research Group: "Pain, symptom control and palliative care". She has clinical experience in the area of ​​Medical-Surgical Nursing, working mainly in the following areas: oncology, pain control, palliative care, symptom control and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Prof Dr Renata Eloah de Lucena Ferretti Rebustini

Associate Professor at the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing of the School of Nursing at USP and President of the Research Committee of EEUSP. Full Member of the Research Council of USP. Member of the Committee for Good Scientific Practices of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research at USP. Member of the Management Committee of the Biobank for Studies on Aging of the Laboratory of Pathophysiology of Aging at FMUSP. Prof Aline Martins de Carvalho

Graduated in Nutrition, master's and doctorate in Public Health Nutrition from the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo. She completed research internships at the Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Michigan. She is currently a professor at the Department of Nutrition of the School of Public Health of USP, participates in the Planetary Health Study Group of the IEA/USP, the Special Commission on Sustainability, Climate Change and Food Culture of Abeso, the Climate Change Study Network (Resiclima) and is the coordinator of the USP Research and Extension Center Sustentarea.

Prof. Enrique Falceto de Barros

Family and Community Physician in the Serra Gaúcha region. Professor at Feevale University. Member of the Brazilian Planetary Health Group at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo. Coordinator of the Brazilian health policy report for the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change. Member of the Lancet Commission on Sustainable Healthcare.

Prof Caroline Lopes Ciofi Silva

Professor at the School of Nursing at the State University of Unicamp. PhD from the School of Nursing at USP, master's and bachelor's degrees in nursing from the School of Nursing at Ribeirão Preto at USP. She conducts research on the prevention and control of infections related to healthcare, with an emphasis on environmental contamination, biosafety and antimicrobial resistance. Coordinator of the Research Committee of REBRAN - Brazilian Network of Nurses to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance.

Prof Dr Camila Quartim de Moraes Bruna

Nurse graduated from the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing (EERP-USP). She completed her residency in the Surgical Center, Anesthesia Recovery and Material and Sterilization Center at Unifesp. She is a specialist in prevention and control of healthcare-related infections at Unifesp. She holds a master's and a doctorate from the Postgraduate Program in Adult Health Nursing (Proesa) at the University of São Paulo School of Nursing (EE-USP). She completed her postdoctoral studies at the University of São Paulo (USP). She is currently a professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at EEUSP.

Prof  Karina Pavão Patricio

A physician graduated from UNESP, she completed her medical residency in public health, has a master's degree in biological sciences and a doctorate in environmental health from USP. She is a specialist in ESG and corporate sustainability from FGV. She has been a professor in the public health department of the UNESP/Botucatu School of Medicine since 2004. She is the founder and coordinator of the Sustainable Hospitals Center at HCFMB. She is a member of the Planetary Health Brazil group. I love nature and have dedicated myself to mitigating climate change in health services and hospitals.

Prof Dr Vera Lúcia Conceição de Gouveia Santos

She holds a PhD (1996), a master's degree (1989) and a degree in Nursing (1976) from the School of Nursing at USP EEUSP. She is currently a Full Professor at EEUSP, after obtaining her Habilitation in 2006. She is Head of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing (2019-2021). She is a member of the Brazilian Association of Stomatherapy: ostomies, wounds and incontinence (SOBEST), of which she is a founding member, having been its president from 1992 to 1997 and from 1999 to 2001, remaining a member of its Scientific Council from 2003 to 2015. Since 2015, she was elected and remains as Director of the Department of International Relations at SOBEST.

Prof Angela Maria Geraldo Pierin 

Full professor at the School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo, where she has worked since 1981. She completed her master's degree in 1985, her doctorate in 1992 and her associate professorship in 1999. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Her research activities focus on chronic diseases, with a focus on care for people with high blood pressure, especially regarding blood pressure measurement and treatment adherence. Her advising activities are aimed at undergraduate students in the scientific initiation modality and graduate students at the master's and doctorate levels, as well as post-doctorate levels. Her scientific production is supported by funding from research funding agencies, the dissemination of which can be assessed by publications in national and international journals and presentations at events. She participates in the development of guidelines on high blood pressure together with scientific societies and the Ministry of Health.

Prof. Dr Ramon Antônio Oliveira

PhD in Science with a research internship at the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom). Professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at the School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo. He is deputy leader of the research group: Technologies and nursing interventions in adult health with a focus on surgical patients (EEUSP). He works in the areas of perioperative nursing with an emphasis on prevention of infections associated with healthcare, nursing in solid organ transplantation and economic studies in health.

Prof Dr Rita de Cassia Gengo e Silva Butcher

Graduated in Nursing from EEUSP. Master and Doctor of Science from FMUSP and Master in Nursing Education from Christine E Lynn College of Nursing. Postdoctoral degree from The Marjory Gordon Program for Clinical Reasoning and Knowledge Development. Currently, she is an assistant professor at Christine E Lynn College of Nursing and also a master and doctoral advisor at PROESA. Her research interests include symptom science from a nursing perspective, particularly in heart failure and coronary disease, as well as topics related to nursing assessment, diagnosis, interventions and outcomes.

Prof Silvia Regina Secoli

Senior Associate Professor at PROESA at EE-USP, Visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Program in Nursing in the Amazon Context at UFAM and Professor of the MBA in Economics and Health Technology Assessment at the Economic Research Institute Foundation – FIPE. Her experience as a researcher includes extensive scientific production published in peer-reviewed journals, books and manuals on the safe use of medicines and assessment of technologies used in healthcare. In the postgraduate field, she has contributed to the training of Doctors in Latin American countries such as Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.

Prof. Vital de Oliveira Ribeiro Filho

Chairman of the Board of the Healthy Hospitals Project Association (PHS), focal point of the international organization Health Care Without Harm and the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Network. Architect and Urban Planner, he has worked at the Health Surveillance Center of the Health Department of the State of São Paulo since 1987. Master in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV, research line in health management, environment and sustainability. Hospital and Health Systems Administrator from EAESP-FGV.

Prof. Dr. Jack Roberto Silva Fhon

Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Postgraduate Program in Nursing in Adult Health (PROESA), Postgraduate Program for a Doctorate in Nursing - Interunits, Adjunct Member of the Brazilian Center for Evidence-Based Health Care: JBI Evidence Center (JBI Brazil), Vice leader of the research group Pedagogical Practice in Higher Education in Nursing and in Health Care for Adults and the Elderly (Prapec), Ambassador of Open Science, School of Nursing, University of São Paulo.

Prof Diná de Almeida Lopes Monteiro da Cruz

As a Full Professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, she served as Director of EEUSP from 2011 to 2015 and directed the Brazilian Center for Evidence-Based Healthcare of the JBI (2009-2011 and 2015-2017). Currently, as a Senior Full Professor at EEUSP, she works in the training of researchers (doctorate, master's and scientific initiation) and coordinates research and extension projects on the nursing process and evidence-based healthcare, predominantly related to cardiovascular diseases and other chronic diseases.

Prof. Mahmood Bhutta

Mahmood is the inaugural Chair in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery and Professor of Sustainable Healthcare at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. He was recently appointed to lead the national academic centre for decarbonising the NHS and has a particular interest in the environmental and labour harms caused by medical supply chains.

Prof Asia Neupane

Asia joined Yale School of Nursing on September 4, 2024 as Director of the Office of Global Affairs and Planetary Health. Previously, she held dual positions in Yale’s Office of International Affairs and the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. She led international programming, partnerships, and institutional engagement with a focus on Latin America and Europe. Previously, Asia supported board relations, alumni engagement, and international fundraising initiatives, including at the Yale Center Beijing during her tenure at the Yale School of Management and the Yale Office of International Development. Asia received her B.A. and M.A. from Wesleyan University and her Ed.D. from Northeastern University. She is the recipient of a Yale Working Women’s Network Award and two Fulbright Fellowships in Colombia and Germany. Her most recent academic research focuses on networks and internationalization in higher education. At Yale, Asia is a Fellow and Advisor at Silliman College. She is an editor for the Journal of Comparative and International Higher Education and the Journal of International Students and is on the Advisory Board of The Halifax Institute for Global Interdisciplinary Collaboration. Originally from Nepal, Asia has a deep interest in planetary health and this lens has informed her educational and research experiences in sustainable development and environmental health in South Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
